A washstand that meets specific requirements.

Standard products can only rarely be used in the care of the old and disabled, as the requirements needed for optimum care are too specific. The washstands shown here were specifically developed for the care of people with disabilities and the elderly: they are ergonomically shaped so that people can directly reach the sink with a wheelchair. People can hold onto the washstand by means of the grips recessed into the unit and the height of the sinks can also be adjusted. The concept behind these two washstands was awarded the “Innovation Award: Architecture + Health” design prize in April 2007 at the international industry fair “Altenpflege+Propflege” and also a “Good Design” award in 2008.
