Furniture design with a futuristic 3D look dazzles with HI-MACS®.

This spectacular exhibition piece makes use of the wealth of design benefits of HI-MACS®. The “sleeping-bathing landscape” was exhibited at “The Sleep Event" in London’s Business Design Centre. The centrepiece consists of an elegantly shaped bed that is seamlessly linked by a type of bridge to the bathing unit situated behind it. The real highlight here is in the detail: the bathtub and its enclosure are both manufactured with a concave vertical sweep, giving the design a sophisticated, elegant style. This flowing furniture design was made possible by the outstanding mouldability of HI-MACS®. The organically shaped writing area grows directly out of the curve between the bathing unit and the sleeping furniture and even the walls and integral lighting panels that pick up on the translucent properties of the material were manufactured from HI-MACS®.
