Specific colours and sheet thicknesses of HI-MACS® have particular translucency when combined with light. Thanks to this translucent property, the Solid Surface material is also outstanding when used in the manufacture of lighting and illuminated furniture, as the translucency of HI-MACS can be further enhanced in the form of structures and patterns that can be worked into the material. Patterns and designs with different effects can be produced depending on the light source by milling into the material, creating a completely new and innovative room environment. The material comes across as being strong and yet lightweight at the same time, sensuous and time and time again mysterious like a painting.
