Italian architect Francesco Lucchese designs “Le Muse”, a high end integral bathroom collection - exclusively designed for the worldwide brand Toto Indonesia – launched simultaneously in Singapore and Indonesia in April.
Bathroom space in Indonesian’s culture is generally extremely spacious; therefore special design solutions with generous dimensions are needed in order to furnish the whole room. The collection – consisting of sanitary ware, fittings, furniture and accessories - has been designed with particular attention to the relationship between objects, humans and space.
Sinuous, sleek and minimal lines are blended into modern shapes in this collection that combines traditional materials like wood with the latest HI-MACS® Solid Surface in the natural and warm shades of Rose, Toffee Brown, Babylon Beige and Coffee Brown.
Vanity units have a 12mm HI-MACS® top surface that follows the furniture curves, thanks to its great workability, looking seamless even on big size surfaces – avoiding edges and joins where dirt can collect - while maintaining a warm feeling. In every composition HI-MACS® is presented in a slightly lighter tone than the wood in order to complement surface colour.
“We needed a resistant, hygienic and easy to clean material, and HI-MACS® meets all those requirements without the need of an added finishing, we were looking for a material with impressive design and with a wide range of colours available to combine with, HI-MACS® was the logical choice” explains the Alessandra Colombo, from Lucchese Design.
The whole ceramic collection design is based on an elliptical shape that completely avoids the use of sharp edges in order to have only smooth and round surfaces near the body.
Every item of the collection is well balanced in order to meet current trends of living: not only to look at in terms of functionality and quality, but also as a continuous research for design with special attention to the environment, thanks to the integration of water saving technology.
