It’s just around the corner! The famous Milan Design Week will be opening its doors from 12th - 17th April 2011. It’s an absolute must for all creatives who want to inform themselves on the latest trends and get inspiration from what has never been seen before. And it’s the perfect venue to take an exciting trip through art and design, innovation and tradition, big names and young, up-and-coming talent.
LG Hausys is right in the thick of things, directly opposite the trendy Superstudio Più, sending visitors on a maze-like tour that allows them to experience every product of the Korean group. As a fixed element of the “Innovation – Imagination” events, the stand has been designed under the promising motto of “Vertigo” (from the Latin “whirling round”, “dizziness”).
This artful concept was developed by Lucchese Design and comprises a series of circular portals – lined up in a fine balance between open and closed areas. The passageways themselves are made of different materials and textures comprising a cross-section of LG Hausys’ range and which, taken together, produce an exciting contrast. In passing through the tunnel-like portals, and also through seeing presentations of real-life applications, visitors can completely immerse themselves in LG Hausys’ product universe.
Those who prefer to keep things straight can go directly to the central information stand and get an overview there of the materials on show.
HI-MACS® has its own, large display area which cunningly picks up on the leaning, orthogonal design elements of the stand.
The first passageway is made entirely of the Solid Surface, in the new solid colour Light Green. At the exit of the tunnel, visitors will see an unusual reception desk which has been made of HI-MACS® panels of different thicknesses. The main part of the installation glows in translucent Opal, with the help of effective back lighting. These creations have been made possible thanks to the diverse design and fabrication possibilities of the material and its design-oriented properties.
This material of the “new generation” can also be found in LG Hausys’ central information area, in the shape of modular seating of different heights which mirror the geometric shapes of the portals in trendy Alpine White and Light Green. If needed, and depending on their height, these seats can also be used as tabletops.
