Coinciding with the Imm Cologne trade fair, the interior design innovation prize (Best Object category) went to the “Torno” side table. Manufactured out of HI-MACS® by Draenert, it was this table’s sculptural presence that caught the jury’s eye. The spiralled movement highlights the flexibility of HI-MACS® both in terms of design and technique. The designer actually chose the material for its unlimited heat-shaping properties, and also because it is hard-wearing and easy to maintain, with the aim of creating an attractive product for design-loving consumers without neglecting the functional aspect of their purchase.
