LG Hausys Design Center, always at forefront of research, was recently rewarded at the iF Design Award Contest under the category of Product Award. This is one of the world’s top 3 design awards, organized by the German International Design Forum of Hannover, and the award was won for the highly innovative ‘HI-MACS® Seamless Canvas’. Since their introduction in the year 1953, the iF design awards have been a reliable indicator of outstanding quality in design.
The “Seamless Canvas” kitchen concept works like a canvas, in which individuals can create their own space with the help of the hidden features in the seamless splash back area. This continuous sheet is spread from the upper cabinet via the splash back and counter top, to the lower cabinets. This seamlessness is possible only thanks to the special features of HI-MACS® Natural Acrylic Stone.
The kitchen’s hidden features that will help user creativities expand are the thermoformed HI-MACS® hood, glowing mood lighting, HI-MACS® derived hooks, magnetic back wall for your memos and recipes, a softly backlit integrated LED clock, and a HI-MACS® derived towel hanger.
Part of the kitchen concept will be exhibited from March 2nd, during the iF Product Design Award exhibition at Hannover Messe.
