New Porsche-Museum: an architectural challenge for HI-MACS®

New Porsche-Museum

Porsche wanted to create an inspiring space, an architectural emblem to match the brand’s prestige: success across the board. The Austrian architect Delugan Meissl has produced a real work of art, offering both dynamic and monolithic movement, covering 5600m2 of the exhibition area.

You’ll be fascinated by its impact as soon as you arrive in the museum: the building seems to float the sky and an infinite staircase invites visitors to climb into the clouds.

For this concept, HI-MACS® really was the right partner, particularly due to its seamless assembly and its soft and pure appearance, which highlights the real stars of the museums: Porsche models from 1948 to the present day.

Impressive display shelves made of the same material extend the experience.

Finally there is a media space for more in-depth research in a haven of tranquillity.

On arrival, visitors are immediately plunged into a luxurious and minimalist atmosphere which reflects both Porsche’s values and the Museum’s architecture. Bars and desks are made of HI-MACS®.

This highly technical project, tackling unrivalled volume, required great skills from the HI-MACS® distributor and fabricator: Rosskopf and Partner AG. They notably assisted in the planning and realization with their engineering know-how and their experience.
