A new HI-MACS® table and chair set was launched at the Vicenza design week last June. This event, organised for the first time this year with the aim of promoting design throughout the town, selected some “innovating and fresh” furniture to add to industrial projects.
UVA FAMILY was chosen from among 200 projects to participate in the event by a commission of architects and industrial designers. It was therefore able to make a startling entrance in the world of design.
Designed by Carlo Tinti and Stefano Bottino, the furniture was inspired by bunches of grapes referring to the wine produced in the region. Displaying real character, using HI-MACS® (colour S25 - Fiery Red) on the surface makes this set completely waterproof and weatherproof and its structure is made of non-rusting metal.
HI-MACS® was chosen by the designers due to its ecological aspect (HI-MACS® does not release toxic gas during combustion), its non porosity and its versatility when constructing this type of shape.
