Designed by Spanish studio Discoh Design, YAL is the new coffee table collection made of HI-MACS® Alpine White launched during the Spanish fair Habitat Valencia 2009, the most important sales and trends platform for the Made in Spain furniture.
Featuring a milled organic pattern that reminds the microstructures of natural fibers, YAL is the result of a research of visual lightness using mechanical and thermoforming properties of HI-MACS®. And the outcome is a rounded shape that allows the table to self structure while the high aesthetic exclusive appearance is maintained.
“By fabricating the collection using HI-MACS® 12 mm , we achieved a perfect balance between weight and mechanical resistance. Moreover the aesthetic qualities of HI-MACS® with its pearly appearance, high durability and its waterproof properties gave to YAL an excellent finishing along the whole structure making it suitable for both interior and external uses”, says Kiko Gaspar from Discoh Design.
YAL is produced by “VF Superficies sólidas”. The collection is composed by TV, coffee and side tables.
